Dark City

I just watched Dark City on blu-ray. It's one of the best science fiction movies, and in it Jennifer Connelly sang this song. It reminded me of when Linda used to sing some song to me with her ukelele. She has a beautiful singing voice (Linda I mean, though Connelly is cool too).

Sex in lawns and cornfields: Friday Voice Chat

Linda did not make the Friday voice chat, but it was the usual great batch of topics from the people who were there.

I should note that Peter Senna has become an applicant at Austin, he of the chocolate tendencies and the voice that makes all the female hearts at Austin go pitter patter.

The most notable discussion, and one which occupied the bulk of the proceedings, was talk about the most unusual places for sex.

I will not go into details about who said what in order to respect their privacy, but some of the most unusual locations included lawns, corn fields, and heavy construction equipment!

Fortunately, talk never got to me and I was not forced to divulge my penchant for  unusual activities in the parking lot of police stations.

One week later

It feels like a million years since I last saw Linda, since that last goodbye at voice chat.

But I love her backwards and forwards in time, an infinite collection of Nows strung together by memories of her, and that is enough for me.

The Linda Lou Art Store

A long time ago, in a galaxy far far away, when Linda and I still did not have our common home, we used to spend our time together in her store ;-)

The Linda Lou store at that time was located in the Viper Sim, the motorcycle bike club that Linda belonged to here in SL.

August 2014

She had a "secret" small room in the back on the second floor, where she typically dressed and stayed, and a small balcony that extended from that small room to the outside.

September or October 2014

We typically cuddled up there, with a good view of the surrounding area, and I remember very clearly Linda telling me when we first did this that she kept getting IMs from her biker buddies asking who I was...

Nice hair!

Linda decorated the balcony and surrounding greenery according to the seasons, so during Fall for example, she'd have these colorful fallen leaves scattered all over.

Lazy bum!

Even when my baby girl was not inworld I would sometimes just sit there on her balcony. Not sure why. I guess it was because I felt closer to her when I did so. Or then again, maybe it was because I was a lazy homeless bum who liked loafing around in someone else's property instead of being a productive member of society!

Our first winter together in December 2014

During Christmas 2014, she had even added a fireplace with a roaring fire to the balcony. I remember how cute she looked in her outfit.

New store from the outside

Alas, the Viper club disbanded, and she was forced to move her store. The fact that we now had our own home also meant there was no need for a balcony or hidden room, and the new store from the outside is much less showy and entirely covered in greenery.

The landing point for visitors is inside the store, and I suppose Linda had enclosed the outside in greenery because she did not want them to see the neighboring buildings.

The first thing a visitor will notice are the amazing art lining the walls, as well as the aquarium and sofa set in the center.

I remember this aquarium from the first store, and I also believe one of my older friends had one in her home.

A flight of stairs leads visitors up to the second floor of the store.

Here again the walls are filled with wonderful art created for SL by my baby.

When I first met Linda, she told me about her store, and the next day I visited it and bought the elephant artwork. When I told her about it, she tried to give my money back, but I told her to keep it because her work has value.

Marcus Massaro Gallery

If there's one thing that I love about my boo, it's that she is a very giving person, and Linda also set aside a room for our friend Marcus' art gallery. We even had a very nice opening ceremony for the place!

So there you have it....Linda told me that she had started out making boots and hats and other outfits for sale in 2010, but she gradually evolved to making amazing art for people here in SL, and it's always cool when I find out an old friend of mine had bought her art even before I had met Linda! ;-)

A Short Trip by Heli to the Galaxy Cruise Ship

I took a few minutes to take the heli Linda had gifted me for a spin.

I decided I'd take the same route Linda, Sage, Billy, and I had taken last Friday, a short jaunt west from our home then north to the Galaxy cruise ship.

I noticed that beyond the island estates, Sailors Cove South still had that park that I had investigated so long ago in Mid-2015!

Coopers Creek Wilderness Area had large groves of banyan trees along its flanks, and I marveled again at the huge trees as I flew past.

Beyond the last inhabited islands lay open water.

I turned northwards and soon glimpsed the enormous hull of the cruise ship in the far horizon.

I have to admit, I find piloting the chopper to be quite challenging and fascinating, perhaps even as enjoyable as sailing on the Linda Lou.

I look forward to more and longer chopper trips in future.

A Good Friday with My Girl: Copters, Paintballs, and Piggyback Rides!

It was going to be a busy day, and I was woken up in great fashion by my boo.

After eating some breakfast, we met Billy and Sage for a wanderling type trip that was basically a continuation of our sailboat trip on the Linda Lou last week.

We started by piling onto the helicopter that Linda had gifted me awhile back. I had been practicing on it last time and with a little bit of luck I managed not to crash into some random tree in Sailors Cove South and burst into flames.

The route I took was the opposite of the path we would have taken last time if we had more time to sail from the Galaxy cruise ship to our home.

We landed on the ship and the three of them took a few spins on the swans moored by the side of the dock, but we soon encountered some voice difficulties and decided to move on to the next part of our trip.

I had found an interesting carnival sim the night before, and I TPed everyone over.

The name of the place is "Amusement Park, Carnival, Halloween, Midway, Club, Destination" (yes, I know, it is a kinda weird name), and the SLURL is:

The first thing we tried was  a paintball game, although we had a delay as someone who I shall not name had a slight "accident" *smh*

But we soon got our paintball guns and stormed into the arena provided for the game, which resembled a blasted out urban landscape.

In the first game, it was everyone for him and herself, and it turned out Sage had a good eye for the game and ended up the last person standing!

In the second game, it was guys versus girls, with the girls going in first and Billy and I following. Sad to say, our Dom tags did not do much good as we got our asses kicked royally by the two subbies.

In the third game, Billy and I entered first, and I immediately hid inside a derelict home facing the entrance, where I hoped to catch the two girls coming in.

Unfortunately, I forgot about the mini-map and radar, and the two girls laughed and giggled as they easily saw where I had gone. In addition, I had inadvertently framed myself in a rather large window, so when they rushed in I was a nice juicy target for them!

Needless to say I was riddled by Sage, though I did manage to put Linda out of action first and pump enough paint onto Sage that Billy made short work of her when he came into the picture!

Boys win the third game! Yay!

We then did another roller coaster ride, which was a good reason to upchuck given the ups and downs and sideways movements of the darn thing.

Finally, we came upon a really interesting ride called the Columbiad Moon Cannon.

You wear these Victorian-type space suits and enter a rather ominous looking capsule.

The capsule blasts off and rockets into space...

...landing in what I take to be the moon, with its blasted lunar landscape!

We entered an extensive cave system through one of the lunar craters, and ended up in a room with weird toadstool-like formations and green crystalline structures.

Then we were suddenly attacked by these insectoid critters!

We used our rayguns on the things, and soon cleared the room of the unwanted vermin.

But then it was time for lunch and my "loyal" friends left...leaving me to my fate at the hands of the swarming aliens!!!!

With friends like these, who needs enemies???!!!

After some "us-time", we got ready for the voice chat at 1 SLT. But before I could relog, I got a message from Linda saying "getting a piggyback ride from some guy..he picked me up..."

I rushed into SL and immediately went to  Austin, fully expecting to see my boo in the hands of some sex maniac...my blood was up, and my head was about the explode....

When I got to the Cafe I demanded to know who had taken my girl, and Linda said it was some guy who told her he loved her and had promised her a car!

I was about to go bazonkers when I realized everyone was piggy-backing on some noob item passed around by Meli that you wore!

Sighs...leave it to Linda to try to get me to have a heart attack *smh*

Anyways, we all sat down to have a proper voice chat, only to find out Billy had decided  to join my harem ;-)

We had a laugh about that, and once he managed to extricate himself and find his own seat, Linda announced the threesome had been good, and saying that she "needed a cigarette now", pulled out what looked to be a smoking burrito!

The voice chat itself was the usual hodge podge of topics...

- "burrito" being a euphemism for a weed paraphernalia

- how the smoking burrito took off Sage's top, with Linda commenting and giggling about how it was totally juvenile

- Linda marveling at all the stuff she had in inventory, including a bubble above her head that said "Let's get naked!"

- Linda pretending to be from the Bronx, though her try at a New York accent sucked

- Breast cancer awareness week and why the girls should go topless for that

- paintguns and how Sage should shoot me again because of all the boasting I did about our paintgun game earlier that day (she did chase me out of the room with Linda urging her on *smh*)

Lots of laughter and good times, and a day that I will never forget.
