A Rubik's Dance was held on August 2, 2015 at Cafe LaPe'rouse @ Austin. It was hosted by Melinda Nyn, with Painthorse Graysmark as the DJ and Aria Vyper helping to set up the venue. As was usual for weekend events, I could not really attend for very long, but I did manage to jump into the fray for a short while, to take video clips and still images.
I later took the video clips and synched them to LeAnn Rimes' Can't Fight The Moonlight. You can view the video below, or click here to get the high res version direct from youtube.
I should note that in the clips, avatars in the background seem to be out of synch with the ones in the foreground, and this is due entirely to deficiencies in the processor speed or graphics capabilities of my laptop, and not because they were actually out of synch during the time.
The big news this day was that Marcus Massaro had offered Melinda a Collar of Consideration, and heaps of congratulations poured in from the attendees at the event, which included (in no particular order):
